Takeaways from VARTECH 2022
Our team was excited to participate in this year’s VARTECH 2022 conference on September 11-13 in Orlando, FL. We have been participating in BlueStar’s VARTECH event since 2002. For two decades, we have showcased our printers and services to attendees at the show. We always have a great time meeting both our current resellers and potential new resellers. Though 2020 halted in-person events, we were happy to attend last year after a short hiatus.
This year’s VARTECH event hosted over 1,500 guests. BlueStar resellers came from all over the world with an especially large presence from both the North American and Latin American regions. With a combination of educational sessions, thought leadership, and off-site block parties, this event had endless opportunities for building connections. We are so thankful for our continued partnerships and already can’t wait for the next event!

Showcasing Our Portfolio of Thermal Printers
We were fortunate to meet so many people at the show. Our booth was consistently busy as we showed off many of our thermal printers. This encompassed our RFID family of printers, including our recently released Alpha-40L RFID mobile label printer. The Alpha-40L RFID mobile printer complements our stationary RFID product line, which gives our resellers and end-users coverage for multiple applications across a variety of industries. This durable and feature-rich mobile RFID printer boosts productivity with on-the-go printing for immediate and accurate RFID labels. It also features a smart battery and Apple-certified MFi Bluetooth® technology for maximum performance and seamless connectivity.
Our full lineup of mobile printers includes the recently released Alpha-30R 3-inch receipt and label printer, which comes in basic and premium versions. The Alpha Series 3-inch printers are available in three models, the Alpha-3R, Alpha-30R, and Alpha-30L mobile printers. These are comfortable, lightweight printers capable of printing labels on demand, built for durability, and can withstand multiple drops and keep printing. These compact and affordable printers boost efficiency with on-the-go printing when you need immediate and accurate receipts and labels. Linerless models are also available.
We also highlighted our T8000 Series, available in 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch enterprise industrial printers. This includes our T8000 ODV-2D barcode inspection printers, our most versatile printer with 4-inch and 6-inch print widths that grades and verifies every barcode label that is printed. The T8000 Series features a color display and multi-connectivity capabilities with optional ODV-2D inline barcode verifier technology.
Our Thermal Printer Solutions and Services
The booth was also busy with people inquiring about the services available for our thermal printers. Interest was high in our wide variety of barcode labels and RFID printing solutions. We discussed how integrated barcode inspection offers accuracy and efficiency, while also decreasing downtime during busy business periods.
Meeting face-to-face at VARTECH, we were able to explain some of these services and the benefits of our full line of printers. With our how-to videos, support, and other tools and resources, we aim to provide comprehensive service to all of our customers and resellers so that our printers perform in any environment with maximum productivity.
Having worked with BlueStar previously at these events, we were excited to share with -resellers some of the ways we partner with the distributor. One of our products that is available through BlueStar is the TSC PEX-Series 4-inch print engine.
Designed for ease of integration, the PEX Series features a bolt-compatible construction with a commonly used GPIO interface and an easy-to-use color display. The PEX Series offers simple integration into both new and existing label application installations. It is ideal for manufacturing and logistic applications where high-speed and high-demand label printing is required. This printer has a rugged design, powerful internal programming tools, exceptional usability and compatibility, and much more.
